Dholera Connectivity — Building India’s Most Connected Smart City

Seamlessly connected by air, road, rail, and industrial corridors, Dholera Smart City is strategically positioned to become a global hub for business, logistics, and modern living.

Road Connectivity

  • A dedicated 6-lane, access-controlled expressway between Ahmedabad and Dholera is proposed, and the design work has already been completed.

  • The existing 2-lane State Highway is currently being widened to 4 lanes.

Air Connectivity

  • The proposed Dholera International Airport is planned near the northern boundary of DSIR, offering close proximity and faster access.

  • Environmental clearance from MoEF and site clearance from MoCA have already been secured for the airport development at Dholera.

  • Bhavnagar Domestic Airport and Ahmedabad International Airport are both around 2 hours away from DSIR.

Rail Connectivity

  • A planned MRTS will directly connect DSIR with Ahmedabad for faster, smoother travel.

  • The Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) is roughly 1.5 hours away from DSIR, supporting strong logistics movement.

  • A Dholera Railway Station is also proposed within DSIR for added rail connectivity.

Sea Connectivity

  • Port Pipavav is the nearest port to DSIR, located roughly 200 km away.

  • It supports diverse cargo handling, including containers, bulk cargo, capital goods, liquids, and gas.

  • DSIR also enjoys strong connectivity to major ports like Mundra and Kandla.
