About DMIC (Delhi - Mumbai Industrial Corridor)

The Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is one of India’s largest and most transformative infrastructure initiatives. Designed to build next-generation industrial cities, it integrates smart planning, advanced technology, and world-class infrastructure into a single growth framework.

At its core, DMIC aims to strengthen India’s manufacturing and services sectors, positioning the corridor as a global manufacturing and trading powerhouse.

This isn’t just about factories. It’s about planned urban growth driven by industry. The project includes the development of new industrial cities supported by high-capacity transport networks, reliable power supply, assured water systems, modern logistics hubs, and dedicated skill development programs to generate employment for local communities.

In its first phase, eight industrial cities are being developed.

Conceptualized in collaboration with the Government of Japan, DMIC represents a strategic international partnership shaping the future of industrial India.
